Wii's First True RPG
As shown in the latest Nintendo Power. The Big RPG reveal was in fact, The Announcement that The Sequal to Tales of Symphonia for the Cube, will be comming to North America.
Formerly Titled "Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk" It's now Being called,"Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World" And while no release date was givin' the magazine said that it should be comming out sometime this year.
This was a good announcement, becouse while Wii owners had Fire Emblem late last year, many have been waiting for a True RPG game.
Dawn of the New World (Or DotNW) Takes place a few years after the Events of the first Symphonia, The 2 worlds from the first game have merged too become one. And so some places you visit will be the same, while with the land distortion, other places will be completely new. Emil and Marta are the two main characters, and while they are permanent members of your party, 8 other characters from the previous game make occasional appearences in your party, and if you ever find yourself lacking, you can gain the trust of a Monster as it joins your party. The game was started as Nintendo approached them and requested them to make the game a sequal, since it originally started out as a Spin-off. The game was created before Nintendo was seen to be taking the casual gamer route, and promices to be fore the core gamers.
Here is a Japanese Trailer for the game if you want to have a glimpse at it. I'll be waiting for the NA voices of course lol.
Personally I can't wait for this game, and i hope the same goes for all you RPGers out there. And if you want something to do while you wait for this game if Brawl isn't your thing, Try going out and picking up the first game.
