VC Demos Included In Smash Bros.
VERY interesting news coming from the Smash Bros. Dojo this evening. A new game mode was revealed called "Masterpieces". This mode allows you to play timed demos of certain sections of Virtual Console games. Sounds like a great edition. Here's the list of confirmed games so far:
Super Mario Bros (NES)
Ice Climber (NES)
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
Kirby's Adventure (NES)
Super Metroid (SNES)
StarFox 64 (N64)
Mother 2 (SNES) Via Japanese site
Fire Emblem (NES) Via Japanese site
No word if Mother and Fire Emblem will be making it stateside but the 'Dojo had this to say:
But hmm, it seems there are still titles hiding in the Masterpieces section.
Titles?! What games don’t I know about?! That discovery is part of the fun, isn’t it?
Masterpieces are called masterpieces for good reason, and each of the well loved characters here come from a past that is worthy of that title.

This game just keeps getting more epic. Looks like the delays will be worth it!

Hey All i'm saying is, we better be getting some Translated Demos... I know they are remaking fire emblem for the DS, but c'mon Japan.
It's a nice feature, but shouldn't this be in the Everybody's Nintendo Channel instead of spending SSBB development time on it?
Mother 2 is Earthbound.
This is bullshit. All that this is is free advertising for the vc. It's nothing more than a commercial for some nintendo games. Would it kill them to give us a free copy of ice climbers for fucks sake? Nope, just a time-limited demo (liek in a store) to try to push a game on you. Thanks but no thanks. Whats next, an 800 number that pops up after you beat the game connecting you with a nintendo shop to buy more nintendo merchandise?
Hey Nice name, if they Bring Mother 2 and Fire Emblem to the NA VC it would be worth it.
