Wii System Update Adds Clock, Shop Channel Redesign and MORE!

The Wii Shop Channel was down today for about three hours. There's been a major overhaul...well not major, but some nice organized changes. The strange thing is that you'll need to do a system update before you can access the shop. This isn't the really strange part, though. When I rebooted the Wii after the update I noticed something new...a clock! We all know how I feel about clocks...... Especially Nintendo Clocks..

What's new:

- Clock Display
- New Colour Scheme for Message Channel
- Disk Channel Icon - The disk does a 180 left and right...
- Forcast Channel Icon (once you click on it)- Now displays the weather without having to enter the channel
- Faster load times when leaving channels
- Faster disk read speeds
- Move contacts on Adress Book
- News headlines in News Channel menu
- Calendar no longer displays envelopes for the amount of time you played, only messages
- Light bar goes on when disk is inserted or removed
- Able to navigate Wii Settings with + and -
- Scrolling through messages - New sound, and scrolling with B now displays an arrow similar to the Internet Channel
