great Review, I never got to play the new metroids and to be honest I never liked the the series that much. But Ill have to admit it does look pretty cool. Ill take your advice, when I finally manage to find a Wii, Ill pick it up. Sure Met3 might be out then but what good is it if I havent played through the backstory.
I liked Prime 1, but prime 2 felt like a chore.
BTW, i'm STILL playing RE4 Wii.
And I got sun burn @ cedar point. :(

So what really happened in MP2? I never finished it, I kept having to restart, my sis deleted my file once (she was mad @ me) then one of my memory cards crapped out.
I hated the non-liner-ness of it. So i always got the strategy guides.
ya, MP3 SHOULD have online. at least co-op, or competitive or something? Especially since it was delayed from November to August. >=(

Play Metroid Prime 2. Its great.
Basically it's about the meteor that the phazon comes from. The world is in trouble because the dark demon world is coming through and on the verge of destroying the worlds original inhabitints. Just like Phazon Created Dark Samus and you keep fighting her. Bitch just won't die.
The Boss fights and first person platforming, puzzles, as well as the fact that this game just looks and plays amazingly makes it a must buy.
All Metroid games take a while to build up and be really fun. The problem with this game is that it begins pretty fast paced and fun and then slows down again like normal and picks up as you reacquire all you're stuff.
EVERYONE play this game if you missed it. Very fun. If you hate first person games because they make you sick, or if you don't like the games platform level design rather then shooter level design then you can probably pass. But for everyone else you should play it.
Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are some of the best games of last gen. And im a PC gamer. I mainly play Battlefield, Half Life 2, Counter Strike, etc...
The level design in the Metroid Prime games is top notch.
Metroid Prime 2 was good but it WAS a chore like previous comments have said. Dark world messed up a great game.
I have 98% in Metroid Prime 1, how the hell am I supposed to find the last 2 missile expansions? Did I miss something?
Metroid Prime 2's dark world is given a bad wrap. It's very different from the standerd Metroid Level Design.
You have to be very careful in the Dark World. It wasnt a chore. If anything I thought it was a blast.
It's just if you go in expecting the same Metroid level design just with a darker outlook you'll be disapointed. The dark world is very moody, and very different. It's also very fun. Traveling from Light to dark and vice versa in the various levels to get to areas that are blocked off in 1 are a lot more amazing then they sound. The difficuty of this game might also turn people off. It's got surprises as you play it that probably intimidate people who arent use to games like Metroid where you have to pay attention.
